Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and qivo quest (“qivo,” “we”) governing your use of the qivo quest app and website. By creating an account you agree to them.
Who can use qivo quest
- You must be a parent or legal guardian, or an adult student 18 or older, to create an account.
- qivo quest is designed for students 13 or older. During invite-only testing, a profile for a younger child may be created only with our direct written consent.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for who you hand your device to. “Student mode” helps keep a student out of billing and settings, but it is a convenience, not a security guarantee.
What qivo quest is
qivo quest is a planning and motivation tool. It shows one assignment at a time, rewards progress, and gives a parent a weekly check-in. It is not a school system of record. Checking work off in qivo quest tracks that it’s done — it does not submit anything to a class. Assignments still get turned in wherever they normally do.
The Genie helper and AI features produce suggestions that can be wrong or incomplete. Always check them against what the teacher actually assigned.
Your content
You keep ownership of the assignments, notes, and photos you or your student add. You grant qivo a license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Don’t use qivo quest to break the law, infringe others’ rights, attempt to breach or overload our systems, or resell the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Subscriptions and payment
- qivo quest is offered on a subscription with a free trial. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
- Billing is handled by Stripe. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Cancellation and deletion
You can delete a student profile or your whole account at any time from within the app. Deletion removes the associated data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
qivo quest is provided “as is.” We don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will improve any particular outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, qivo’s total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll post changes here with a new date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
