Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and qivo quest (“qivo,” “we”) governing your use of the qivo quest app and website. By creating an account you agree to them.
Who can use qivo quest
- You must be a parent or legal guardian, or an adult student 18 or older, to create an account. A student does not sign up themselves — their profile is a view under your account, which you set up and control.
- When you add a student profile you choose an age range for them. For a student under 13, we require you to explicitly acknowledge what we’d collect for them before the profile is created — see the Privacy Policy for details.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for who you hand your device to. “Student mode” helps keep a student out of billing and settings, but it is a convenience, not a security guarantee.
What qivo quest is
qivo quest is a planning and motivation tool. It shows one assignment at a time, rewards progress, and gives a parent a daily check-in and a weekly look-ahead. It is not a school system of record. Checking work off in qivo quest tracks that it’s done — it does not submit anything to a class. Assignments still get turned in wherever they normally do.
The Que helper and AI features produce suggestions that can be wrong or incomplete. Always check them against what the teacher actually assigned.
Your content
You keep ownership of the assignments, notes, and photos you or your student add. You grant qivo a license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Don’t use qivo quest to break the law, infringe others’ rights, attempt to breach or overload our systems, or resell the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Subscriptions and payment
- qivo quest starts with a 14-day free trial that needs no payment card. To keep using it after the trial, you choose a subscription; once you subscribe, it renews automatically until you cancel. If you don’t subscribe, your account and your student’s work are kept, and the board is paused.
- Billing is handled by Stripe. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Invite links: a new family who signs up through another parent’s invite link gets 30 extra free trial days. When that family first pays for a subscription, the parent who invited them gets one free month, either as a credit on their next payment or as 30 more trial days. It applies once per new family, credits have no cash value, and we may withhold credits for self-referrals or other misuse, or change or end the program.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Cancellation and deletion
You can delete a student profile or your whole account at any time from within the app. Deletion removes the associated data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
qivo quest is provided “as is.” We don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will improve any particular outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, qivo’s total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll post changes here with a new date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
